The Amazing Ms. Adriana’s Class
Red, white, and blue flowers around their necks, Ms. Adriana’s kids step outside into the warm summer sun. The kids line up on stage, too cute and too excited to be mistaken for soldiers on the Friday before Independence Day.
Notes vibrate the warm summer air as the song, “Five Little Monkeys Swinging from the Tree,” comes on, and the kids hold up the number of monkey’s in the tree and swing their arms like the monkeys in the tree, taunting the crocodile. These monkeys are too cute for words.
The second song steals the fun with “Slippery Fish,” the all-around favorite song for this years’ LBA graduation. Ms. Adriana’s kids stand fearlessly on the stage, dancing like an octopus to “octopus, octopus, swimming through the water…” The song ends and the kids hide smiles as the whale burps.
“…Now you know your…” I only gave you a few words at the end. Can you guess what it is? Yup, It’s the ABC song. The kids get to show off not only their singing and dancing, but also a taste of what they have learned this past year at Leap and Bound Academy.
After the ABC’s, “The Wheels on the Bus,” go round and round, round and round. The kids dance to the lyrics, moving their arms “round and round” and then honking imaginary horns as they sing “the horn on the bus goes beep beep beep, beep beep beep….” The kids are smiling on stage.
They’re “Happy and [they] Know It.” This timeless classic is the final exhibition of the toddlers’ singing and dancing skills as the kids clap their hands to the beat.
They clap their hands a final time, and then it’s the audience’s turn to clap as the kids say “Thank you for watching.”
Inside, jello, juice, and pizza await for the kids to celebrate.
