Splish splash! Today LBA’s kindergarten program dove into watching one of the best movies of all time- Finding Nemo. The students not only found Nemo, but found themselves making friends and having a great time while watching.
For the whole week Ms. Lily’s class has been learning about the ocean and the little (and big) creatures that live in it! From painting some coral crabs to learning exactly which animals live in the different parts of the ocean, students were eager for a more relaxing lesson.
Luckily, today called for a pjs and movie day! Ms. Lily was smart to combine the best day of the month with their daily lesson. Why not enjoy a movie while still following the lesson theme of ocean life? The little ones were certainly in for a treat, who doesn’t love watching one of the arguably best Pixar movies?
The whole bunch sat down and watched the movie together. While watching, the little ones talked about the characters and shared their predictions of what was going to happen. Was Marlin ever going to find Nemo? Were they going to be eaten by Bruce the shark? The little ones certainly had their own ideas on what was going to happen.
After Nemo was reunited with his dad, the children felt much more at ease! Then, they sprinted off to go play outside because although LBA loves a good movie, we also believe that we should not be dependent on technology to have fun. What a swell day to be a part of LBA!
